About the Algarve

Welcome to the Algarve, Portugal

one of Europe’s favourite holiday destinations!

The Algarve offers you the opportunity to just relax and enjoy yourself:

• In year round sunshine. The Algarve is Portugal's sunniest region basking in 3000 hours of sunshine every year with average temperatures ranging from 17ºC/63ºF in the winter months to 30ºC/86ºF or more at the height of summer.

• On golden sandy beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see and are as popular with water sports enthusiasts as they are with sunbathers.

• On some of the very finest golf courses in Europe –golfing experts have named the region the world’s best golf destination.

• On great nights out- there’s something for everyone in the Algarve with some of Portugal’s coolest clubs, gourmet restaurants, friendly bars, cinemas, casinos, shows, bowling alleys, theatres and more.

• With plenty to keep the kids entertained from water parks to pony trekking, from crazy golf to swimming with the dolphins at Zoomarine aqua park.

• Discovering the Algarve and Portugal’s history and culture.  The area is steeped in history with Roman and Moorish remains of particular interest. Take time to explore local towns such as Loulé, Estoi or Silves and you’ll find intriguing ruins, hidden gems and little restaurants serving typical Portuguese food to discerning locals.
